The ENGLISH Academy opened its doors in September 1993. This is the story of those first remarkable months — and the dedicated team who made it happen.

The founding of The ENGLISH Academy.
The ENGLISH Academy was opened in September 1993. Final approval was not received until April of that year, and much hard work was required to have the building ready for the 18th of September.
An Arabic Private School that had not been used for three years was rented and work began. In the space of three short, hot months repairs were carried out, walls painted, wiring replaced, plumbing repaired, windows mended, furniture bought, staff recruited, books ordered, flowers planted — and The ENGLISH Academy was born awaiting only the arrival of the pupils.
